ROC Community Mentoring in partnership with COACH is a mentoring program aimed at supporting young people and their families through tough times. Through goal-focussed mentoring, we create space for them to explore their strengths, try new things and step towards a brighter future. The vision is to see young people in tough places to flourish.
ROC + COACH Community Mentoring is running in a number of areas in the UK with brilliant results for families and young people and we are delighted that North Somerset Council Community Safety team has directed some of their Violence reduction money to fund this scheme for the next 2-3 years in Western and Worle.
We are looking for a enthusiastic and energetic person to take this important role to set up the project, support the volunteer members, establish relationships across sectors and to prayerfully lead this project. The time commitment is around 8 hours per week (probably over two days) for the first year and then will be reviewed. This position can be voluntary or paid (on an employee or self - employed basis).
